FYI - reverse mortgage

A reverse mortgage is a special type of mortgage available to homeowners who have paid off their mortgage or have a small balance. This mortgage allows borrowers to make tax free withdrawals against home equity as long they live. Money can be withdrawn monthly, as a lump sum, or as a line of credit. Repayment is not necessary until the borrower sells the property.

Pastor Peter (aka Street Pete) Penticton BC Another Chance Street Ministry

Each year I like to reflect on mistakes made, highlights in my life, and ‘try’ to learn from whatever comes to mind. This year my very good friend Pastor Peter tops my list of heartfelt inspiration and mentorship. Most of you know me as ‘just another realtor’ but like you; I am a lot ‘deeper’ than that.

I have known Pastor Peter for almost 6 years. I met Pastor Peter walking the streets of Penticton helping and loving those that ‘need a hand up’. I have ‘walked’ with Pastor Peter on a regular basis a few years ago and I can tell you ‘he is what he is’.

I have worked in Churches and helped in other areas BUT HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY’ONE’ MAKE AS BIG AN INPACT IN COMMUNITIES AS PETER (and his few helpers) HAVE – especially in the Okanagan.

What amazes me about Pastor Peter and what he does is that he is NOT supported by any group or church(and I think he prefers that). However, I know that we could help him do MORE by helping him cover the cost of supplies.

2011 Summerland Festival of Lights - Trout Creek Elementary Choir – Monique MAASKE

Summerland’s 24^th Annual Festival of Lights will take place on Friday, November 25^thbeginning at 5:30pm with a jam-packed schedule of entertainers, streets full of vendors, children’s activities and, of course, the grand fireworks finale! We have a tried and true formula for success and although we will always be making little tweaks to keep improving, Festival of Lights will be the same, fabulous, family-friendly event it has always been.

We do have a little something new to tell you about! It has been so hard to keep a lid on our super-exciting NEW addition to the Festival Of Lights weekend and finally, the time has come to share:
